Casa Modesta

The Casa Modesta is more than just two white, minimalist cubes and also more than just a hotel. After all, the siblings Carlos and Vania combine their childhood with the estate that once belonged to their grandparents. And yes, even as a guest this family spirit can be felt from the first second on. Even if only parts of the former family house have been preserved, the original atmosphere with old building traditions and local materials has been preserved. Our favourite time of the day is definitely the morning, when you can watch the mussel fishermen at the lagoon of the Ria Formosa from the roof terrace and the probably best breakfast between Olhão and Fuseta is served next to the pool: fresh figs and mangos from the surroundings, homemade orange cake according to a family recipe, cheese from the next village and salted tuna from the market.
