The first abbess of the island monastery named by name was St. Irmengard (833 – 866). In the tour of the monastery church, the framed thanksgiving, which hang framed from the ceiling to the arch at their resting place, are particularly noticeable. She is revered for her intercession. From this, the chapel has developed into a real place of pilgrimage for couples who wish to have children. If successful, photos of the offspring are hung here. In addition, Saint Irmengard is known as the godmother for the successful construction of the house and a happy marriage. The pictures and calligraphies, which were hung up for thanksgiving, go back over many decades. A book on the left of the chapel is available for your own use.
