The Dorfkrug Kampen is not just any restaurant on Sylt, but probably one of the most famous institutions on the island. The restaurant in the historic village centre of Kampen is one of the most traditional addresses on the island of Sylt. First mentioned in 1876, the Dorfkrug served as a meeting place for locals, travellers and artists of all kinds 130 years ago. In recent years, the Kampen tradition has been revived by Thomas Samson and Anne Floto. With a new concept under the name “Bar & Grill” they have awakened the village pitcher from a deep sleep – with an urban orientation without touching the historical Frisian flair.
