Emilio Pucci descends from one of the oldest aristocratic families in Florence. In the fifties he became a fashion phenomenon with a design for streamlined ski pants. In the sixties the phenomenon continued when he created wild graphic prints for summer “jet-setters”, including tapered trousers and scarves- modern Italian women wouldn’t be seen without them on the best Italian beaches. Today his graphic patterns are just as “in” as they used to be – they haven’t lost their noble flair. The store now at Tuornabuoni was formerly located in the family’s own “Palazzo Pucci”.
