If you are looking for a flat white in Rome, you will find it so far only here, a little off the centre, in the Faro. Despite the massive spread of barista coffee stores, this trend has not yet taken hold in Rome. The Romans make a good coffee and yet baristas all over the world have overtaken them. This is also due to the state-fixed price for cappuccino and espresso at the bar. With 1,20 € one cannot make a high quality super coffee with oat milk or almond rice milk. The Faro is not the prettiest coffee store now, but if you are looking for a barista style cappuccino, you will only find it here. Meanwhile, I’m looking forward to my flat white in Berlin, who would have thought it would turn this way.
