Fermento in the Chaussée d’Ixelles is characterised by its special atmosphere, which is a mixture of charming Italian nonchalance and Belgian delight in good wine and cheese and charcuterie platters. Fermento is not just a wine bar, but probably the best place in Brussels for wine tasting. Here, every dish is flavoured with a matching wine and vice versa. There is a fine selection of natural, organic and classic wines from France, Italy and Spain on offer at a price of between €6 and €8 per glass. There are almost 300 different wines in total, from the friendly Pet Nat to the Grand Cru. In addition to the many fine wines, the bean cream with pecorino shavings is an absolute must!
