Only in harmony with nature can the land be sustainably cultivated and lived with. Nevertheless, restaurants in rural areas are rarely aesthetic and fancy. But the Forsthaus Strelitz is completely different. Since the generation change in 2015, son Wenzel Pankratz, who learned in highly praised restaurants like the Facil and Schauenstein, brings cosmopolitan style with him. While the family runs the inn and farm, he designs creative menus. Linen seed chips and fermented vegetables show how exciting modern, regional cuisine can be. The interior vacillates between minimalism and farmer’s cupboards – the Strelitz Forsthaus is gradually evolving from a caterpillar to a butterfly.
