Behind From Lucie is the iconic bakery of French baker Lucie Franc de Ferriere in the East Village. Lucie is no stranger to the New York patisserie scene. She has baked them for stars Anna Sophia Robb and recently for Harry Styles when he performed in New York at Madison Square Garden. For Lucie, cake is like a religion. I think that says it all. We definitely recommend stopping by From Lucie during the week, or if you can only do it on the weekend, then very early in the morning, because the lines for Lucie’s flower-decorated mini cakes are always long. The treats are expensive, but worth it – not only visually, but also in taste.
