This palace, which once belonged to Pope Innozenz X. Pamphili, holds one of Rome’s finest art collections. Well known artists of the renaissance, for example “Salome” one of Tizian’s early works and, in the Italian wing, the portraits of two noble men by Raffael, the unfinished work “The Allegory of virtue” by Coreggio and art works by Caravaggio and Guercino, all to be found here. You can also view the living apartments. Don’t miss the Victorian fireplace, which Pamphili had built for his English wife. The ceiling frescos in the family chapel are breathtaking.
