Inspired by Cafe Gratitude in California, Munich’s Gratitude on Türkenstraße also strictly serves vegan dishes. As an alternative to the Bavarian cuisine, the kitchen serves vegan, home-made and fresh dishes that have been created with a lot of love, creativity and sophistication. Some examples from the menu are raw banana crêpes filled with apple and home-made hemp and banana ice cream, zucchini pasta or the “I am beautiful” salad with vegetable crackers, oven-roasted pumpkin and tahini dressing. All dishes are raw, meaning they have not been heated above 42 degrees, thus preserving all vitamins and enzymes. Gratitude is not only a culinary discovery for vegans and vegetarians, but also for omnivores. If you imagine an interior with an “eco touch” now, you are wrong, however. The restaurant convinces with its bright, modern and stylish atmosphere.
