Anyone checking into the Indigo Hotel can look forward to an oasis in Venice. The Indig Hotel is located in a former Venetian monastery from the 1930s with beautiful gardens in the Sant’Elena neighbourhood. The neighbourhood is somewhat removed from the tourist hustle and bustle, in the heart of the art centre of Venice, just a stone’s throw from the Biennale grounds. And yet it’s only a 15-minute walk to St Mark’s Square. And it’s not just art that’s on the doorstep, the Indigo also has beautiful design and art highlights, such as the impressive lamps and Murano glass decorations at reception. So if you don’t want to stay right downtown and want to be close to the Biennale, the Indigo is the place to be.
