Hotel Stein captivates with its unique position on the Salzach river, and with its stone rooftop terrace which provides an unparalleled view of the city’s fort and the monastery of Mönchsberg. From here, one can start the day with an indulgent breakfast or else spend the evening with a glass of wine. Since its renovation the interior has lost some of its 50s-style charm and the service seems rather inattentive. Nevertheless, no hotel affords a better vista. When booking, be sure to reserve a room with a view of the Salzach.
