Hotel Tres

The Tres Hotel is the historic district’s prettiest option, thanks in part to internationally acclaimed Norwegian hotel manager Svenn Rudow. In addition, it’s central to some of the best restaurants, cafes and bars—plus it boasts a wonderfully quiet lobby. The inner courtyard of the Tres is the heart of the palace and a pleasant meeting spot to enjoy a cocktail or cortado. And the guest rooms are perfect. Everything is simply right, from the shower jets to moveable bed-tables designed for a romantic breakfast in bed. But still, it might also be worthwhile celebrating the luxury of a morning meal in the guest courtyard. The quality of some menu items is outstanding—including the dark bread, delicious ham and—here speaks the Scandinavian—fresh lachs (salmon).
