Even from afar, a fine fragrance flies out of the courtyard of the Il Cortiletto. But this is also the only reference to the insider’s tip hidden behind a simple door in specials, a part of Fasano. The Trattoria has conquered the hearts of locals from the very beginning, even the more demanding masseries appreciate the restaurant of Pasquale and his wife Katharina and so sit at the tables a good mix of locals and hip travelers. The heart is definitely the charming courtyard with its barbecue where meat and vegetables are grilled. There is no menu, but Pasquale tells us what the kitchen has to offer every day. Especially the numerous variations of appetizers are to be recommended, ask for the Purea di fave – you simply can’t get enough of it!
