Just a few steps away from the tourist attractions, Jeanne swims against the tide as this charming eatery is located in a shady street. The two sisters Marine and Elsa have been working for six years with the mission of a natural cuisine that reinvents itself according to local supplies. A few cubes of raw bonito from local catches with a celery bulb “cooked” in salt and freshly blanched peas are an ode to freshness. But the risotto with dandelions and salers is also a delight. Not to mention the desserts, like the chocolate cake in the style of a “Torta Caprese” with almond powder, quinces poached in syrup and roasted hazelnuts from Piedmont. And then there is the divine wine selection. While Elsa performs in the kitchen, Marine has the knack for the wine. Whether organic, natural or traditional, they all have one philosophy in common: they must be “healthy”, without any ingredients or sulphites. On top of everything, there is a very nice, informal atmosphere. In short, Jeanne is a must go in Antibes.
