Gina and Carla are both wonderful cooks. What you eat in La Bottega, you will never forget, just like the favorite dishes of your childhood and they will stay connected to Tuscany forever.
The best time is of course on warm summer days on the terrace under the trees.
In the truffle season, don’t miss the “Tagliatelle con Tartufo”, which is simply delicious. The homemade ravioli, filled with spinach and ricotta, quite simply with butter and sage, are also hard to beat. Typical dishes of a simple farmer’s kitchen, “Fagioli e Salsicce”, beans with sausage, taste delicious here. Especially the “Pollo alla Cipollata”, prepared almost sweetly with onions, is uniquely aromatic and intense. For a sweet end, there should be a corner free in any case. Either for the “Torta di Cioccolato” after a medieval recipe, or also the Vino Santo, a special supplier, harmonize marvelously with the Cantucci’s. The excellent food is only topped by Gina herself. When she laughs, the sun rises, because everything comes from her heart and is wonderfully authentic.
The culinary arts have meanwhile spread in the high nobility: In autumn 2010, the Dutch queen arrived. One thing is certain: they will all come back as soon as they set foot in Tuscany.
