This small restaurant La Cantina di via Sapienza is ancient and has preserved its charm. Nothing has been changed, inside or out, but perhaps you know that the travellers from the North love the authenticity and the nun in the Cucina as in the old days. Because here they cook simple, honest home cooking, nothing refined, but spaghetti con sepia nera, with black ink, a Parmigiana Neapolitana – an eggplant casserole or simply as a main course homemade Polpette con Pomodoro, minced meat balls with tomato sauce. In summer there are also a few tables outside, which is especially nice – sitting in front of the old façade on the alley in Spaccanapoli and watching the hustle and bustle.
