Le petit Vendôme is an authentic Parisian bistro through and through, located near the Paris Opera. The bistro is the perfect place for a drink and a classic French baguette sandwich enjoyed at the counter with a glass of red wine. The atmosphere is simply wonderful, you could also compare it a bit to that of a betting shop. Among locals, le petit Vendôme is known for the best butter and ham sandwich in Paris. Our favourite is the “Special” sandwich with goat cheese, ham and delicious olive oil from the Baux-de-Provence valley. By the way, the baguettes come from the Julien bakery in the 1st arrondissement, and no sandwich is prepared before you order it. But even apart from sandwiches, all the classics are represented here: Snails, onion soup, tartar of Saler beef, grilled pigs’ feet. An all-round great authentic place.
