Just a few steps from the southern shore of Lake Schliersee and directly opposite Fischhausen-Neuhaus railway station is the Markus Wasmeier Open-Air Museum, which invites its guests on a journey through time into the region’s past that is well worth seeing. To be more precise, the Wasmeier Museum shows rural life as it once was. An old Bavarian village has been recreated here, giving visitors an exciting insight into the culture, traditions and crafts of the Bavarian Oberland region.
