This restaurant takes its name from the sticky rice cakes, which, served in soup, are ubiquitous at traditional Japanese New Year’s festivals. Edi Dimant, originally from Tel Aviv and the former chef at Berlin cult restaurant Kuchi, mixes Japanese cuisine with international style. Sashimi is served with truffle sauce, chicken with chili-mayonnaise, and the mixed green salad with bonito flakes. The prefect style mix is immensely popular in Vienna so it can be difficult to snag one of the few tables. Reserve in advance or come for lunch when business lunch menus, including tapas and Japanese curry, are the order of the day.
