Monsieur Benjamin brings a priest of France to San Francisco. The place is in the Hayes Valley neighborhood and is brimming with Parisian bistro culture. The menu is also inspired by the traditions of French cuisine – bistro classics such as onion soup and steak tartare are among the house favourites. But also the quail or chicken liver pâté with apple compote and toasted brioche is heavenly. You can tell that chef and starred chef Corey Lee has mastered his craft. The service is excellent and the wine list is well stocked. However, everything has its price. It is not a place for a quick dinner, but rather one where you go for a special occasion.
