The Museum of Photography and the Helmut Newton Foundation present all forms of photography from the 19th to the 21st century. The Helmut Newton Foundation occupies the two lower floors, while the Sammlung Fotografie uses the rooms on the top floor. The Helmut Newton Foundation was founded in 2003 shortly before Helmut Newton’s death. The photographer left a large number of his works to it. Works by the photographer June Newton alias Alice Springs and other artists are also exhibited here. In the Kaisersaal, the National Museums in Berlin highlight different themes in the history of photography and present individual contemporary photographers.
