Osteria dei Sognatori

This Osteria is beautiful. You can’t imagine that it’s ever empty – there’s full life here, there’s always something going on. The interior is simple and traditional with an old terrazzo floor and rustic old wooden chairs and tables. It should be noted that this is a sworn community. A motley bunch of individualists who act very friendly, effective and fast. The menu includes down-to-earth, good Piemontese dishes. You’ll love the tajarin (slightly thicker spaghetti, but with lots of egg and therefore very yellow) with mince and pomodori – the recipes are very simple, reduced to the essentials and a precise landing in terms of aroma. You’ll drink an open Barbera from the region. In Alba this is definitely our favourite place for a good, honest lunch. Opposite is the Pastificio dei Sognatori.

Since it is always full, one should reserve – definitely for the evening – absolutely!
