This 122-year-old temple of meat is known as one of the best places to get a steak in New York. The atmosphere reminds one of a busy pub, but if you can handle the hubbub you’ll be generously rewarded with the famous dry-aged Porterhouse steak, “German fried potatoes”, luscious creamed spinach and Canadian speck. To keep in mind: it’s best to come at least in twos, as the Porterhouse steak is portioned only for 2, 3 or 4 people. Always make a reservation and bring cash with you, as no cards are accepted.
