Petiscaria Ideal serves hearty, feet-firmly-on-the-ground food made according to family recipes. The portions are generous with lots of fish and lots of meat. The friendly and quick wait staff will gladly help translate the menu. Of particular note are the Caldo Verde, a cabbage soup with pork sausage; Arroz com Mariscos, and type of shellfish risotto; and Carne de Porco a Lentejana, a mussel dish with pork. The locale is always full to the brim. Whether you make a reservation or wait until a table frees up, it will be worth it.
