‘The best fish in town’ – this is how the Poisson advertises its “creative, light, gourmet cuisine”. Atlantic turbot fillet with foie gras, Thai fish curry and peppered tuna tataki. Top-quality creations from around the world, perfectly prepared and presented. It’s your own fault if you order meat here. There is caviar and supposedly the best oysters in town. A place at the bar is highly recommended. Here you can see the chefs at work, which is simply breathtaking. Although every dish here is a feast for the eyes. If there is a in-crowd in Cologne, they feast here. The wine and champagne list also leaves nothing to be desired. Because ‘an excellent fish is nothing without the right wine,’ says chef Ralf Marhencke. He has been successfully running Poisson for over 10 years.
