The prestigious ship Prince Van Orangiën is by far the most charming floating hostel in Stockholm. The ship, which was born in 1935, originally comes from the Netherlands, where a shipowner inhabited the ship. Today the Oaxen owners Magnus and Agneta Ek have transformed the ship into a noble hotel with seven small but fine cabins. From single cabins to the Chief Mate’s Cabin No 6 with its own terrace, everything is possible here. But even the single cabins are beautifully romantic, covered with rosewood, ebony, Belgian slate and three types of marble. And you don’t have to go far to eat either, either you swim to the other shore or take the dry path, the bridge, and you’re already sitting in one of the Oaxen restaurants!
