Spindler Berlin is a culinary and aesthetic fairytale! Frank Spindler and designer Karolina Preis turned this Gründerzeit building from 1911, into an impressive master plan of great food, matching wines, and magnificent interiors. Their gastronomic philosophy is: seasonal, regional, and homemade. Nicolas Germin, former sous chef at Pauly Saal, is in charge of all culinary creations and conjures up dishes such as: butternut squash soup, root vegetable and saffron cream, and venison with red cabbage. Equally noteworthy is its interior. Handcrafted chairs from Spain, floor tiles from Morocco, chandeliers with mouth-blown glass balls from London, and custom-made tables from 10-year old walnut wood. Every piece is full of affectionate minutiae and promises to become even more beautiful with time. It’s too easy to forget that the focus here is on the food. Spindler Berlin is a pleasure for all senses!
