The idea for Spiritland began with a trip to Japan. Owner Paul Noble was fascinated by the Japanese bars, where everything revolves around music, with excellent music systems, renowned DJs and without a dance floor, the guests sit with a drink and enjoy the sound. This is exactly what he has brought to London with Spiritland. A paradise of beautiful sounds. A way of listening to music that has never been heard before in London, because music of this quality is normally only heard by oligarchs in their villas in Kensington, says Noble. The speakers are from Living Voice, the tube amplifiers from Atelier du Triode. Almost everything is played – from jazz to soul, country, reggae, rock to classical music. Only the current pop charts are avoided.
