The Pelican in west London’s All Saints Road joins the list of new “pubs” improving their gastronomic offer. The Pelican has been around since 1870 and there is a lot of talent behind the pub: James Gummer, who runs 7 Saints across the road; Phil Winser, who was one of the creators of The Fat Radish in New York City; and chef Owen Kenworthy, who was the first chef when Brawn opened. After extensive restoration, the three have created a place that has quickly mutated into a Place To Be for the local hood. The menu is seasonal and European focused, with many classic pub dishes enhanced by the use of excellent ingredients and more modern dishes. Whether it’s for an after-work beer or Sunday Roast, The Pelican is always the place to be.
