Zum grünen Strand der Spree

If you want to learn more about the Spreewald, its customs and dishes, you should visit the beer garden “Zum Grünen Strand der Spree”, which belongs to the Spreewald Resort “Seinezeit”. Here sorbian specialities are served like Grützwurst with sorbian sauerkraut, Schlepziger cream quark or home-smoked wild ham. In addition there are hand-brewed Spreewälder Pils, Zwickel, Spreewälder Dunkel or Hefeweizen from the farm’s own brewery. Depending on the season, even more unusual varieties are added, such as the Maibock or the Oktoberbier. But it’s not the food or the beer that’s in the foreground here, but the beer garden itself, which, embedded in the canal labyrinth of the Spreewald, is a perfect place for a warm summer evening.
