The Braderuper Heide is a nature reserve of almost 140 hectares between Kampen and Braderup with a unique view over the wide heathland and the almost endless Wadden Sea. The area is criss-crossed by picturesque hiking trails through a varied flora and fauna. On the nutrient-poor Geestboden grows the cultivated heath. Between heather, English broom and pipe-weed, arnica, marsh gentian and wild orchid, which are among the rarest species, also thrive.
