This is a French bistro classic like a piece of Paris in the middle of New York. Why not start your day here with a splendid breakfast or pop by for lunch and have a typical “Steak au poivre” or a “Duck confit” or just enjoy an excellent coffee while reading a book. The Balthazar is one of the few cafes in New York where you really feel like staying for several hours. Also to be recommended is the bakery of the same name next door with their delicious bread and pistaccio madeleines.
