Blue Hostel

This hostel stands as a ray of hope for all those afflicted by headaches from the horrendous Roman hotel room prices. Blue Hostel is a jewel, and genuinely an upper class hostel. This former 18th century monastery was renovated with lots of attention to detail, so that the original wooden ceilings were kept intact. It is a comfortable and authentic place to sleep, without the typical hostel feeling. Ercole and Andrea also have really good insider tips on restaurants and cafés.
