Katja Wöhr revived the saltworks, which look back on a tradition as far as the Phoenicians and Romans, who lie in the middle of the Es Salobrar de Campos nature reserve. It doesn’t take much to produce salt, just a light sea breeze, sunshine and low humidity. Of course, there are also people who skim the salt out of the water with meditative movements. The weather conditions must be optimal, otherwise no crystals form. In an affiliated shop, one can buy the famous salt in all variants – also the Limited Editions. The salt has become so famous because nothing is taken from it during the manufacturing process and nothing is added. Finally, the salts – there is also pure salt – are mixed with the herbs and spices recommended by star chef Marc Fosh. It’s nice to sit outside in the courtyard and drink a cup of coffee, juice or lemonade. Try the ice cream of the house, it is of course refined with a hint of Flor de Sal!
