The old Grand Hotel Bachaumont closed its doors in the 1970s. The rebirth of this hotel after 40 years is an impressive Art Deco project by designer Dorothée Meilichzon, who is now behind all kinds of Parisian hotels. She simply has a flair for creating atmospheric places. Cool jazz sounds can be heard throughout the hotel, the interior is a stylish mix of marble floors, a palette of muted shades of grey and in the bathroom you can look forward to a retro mix. And then there’s the location itself – the upper Marais, where a mix of locals and hip tourists come together – parfait!
