Approx. 10 minutes into the mountains from St. Gallen you have to drive to get to the Hotel Krone Speicher. An old, beautiful, bright building with a striking number of windows. The building dates from the 17th century and has just been lavishly restored by the owner Konrad Hummler. With absolute love for detail. In other contexts, he used to deal with gastronomy and hotels in the past, and here he has fulfilled his personal dream of an inn where you eat well, enjoy, sleep well afterwards and then drive on again. Everywhere in the hotel it is noticeable that it is exactly the small details that show with how much passion this house is run: Be it the tiled stove in the lounge or a wooden sliding door in one of the rooms that separates the bathroom – everywhere only high-quality materials and perfect craftsmanship – of course realized only with local companies. A good balance is maintained between simplicity, design and cosyness! The rooms are tastefully furnished. Simply light furniture – everything very discreet and of high quality. The many windows cut a good figure especially here: it is bright and friendly. A detail that we particularly liked: In all the design we also thought of enough storage space.
