Los Jardines de Palerm

The Jardins d’Palerm is a wonderful place. A Belgian fashion photographer modernised the 17th century finca with his wife. The mixture of finca and design hotel is well done. Clear architecture, minimalist, reduced, light, white. All rooms are very beautiful, the beds are heavenly.  Also the art in the niches and on the walls is harmoniously chosen and beautiful … A luminous pool, embedded in a clear surface that seems to float or lie above the gravel floor, connects all nine rooms. In the distance the sea sparkles. The place around the pool is meeting point and chill place in one. The Jardines d’Palerm is almost like a small world in itself, except that it is only a few minutes walk from the centre of San José. A very pleasant, friendly refuge, where the very likeable Belgian family takes care of their guests in a wonderfully unobtrusive and yet personal way.
