In the heart of the bay of Canyamel lies the restaurant Melassa, which is part of the Melbeach Hotel. At first sight, it is the magnificent view of the Mediterranean Sea that attracts the visitor, which could not be better. But also the menu is convincing, because in the kitchen David Moreno has the say and brings his Mexican roots, including the secret recipes of his mother, into the dishes. One could describe the style as Mediterranean with Mexican and Asian influences. It starts with crispy seaweed bread with sesame seeds and avocado and a tartlet of salmon caviar, anchovies and avocado. Then the monkfish with green asparagus puree and lemongrass sauce or the suckling pig with steamed mushrooms and hazelnut butter would be our first choice.
