Palazzo Butera – located in Palermo’s historic Kalsa district – was once one of the most beautiful palaces in Sicily in the 17th and 18th centuries. The palazzo was particularly famous for its monumental façade overlooking the Gulf of Palermo. Today, Palazzo Butera houses the art collection of Francesca and Massimo Valsecchi. Along the exhibition path, you will encounter contemporary works of art as well as antique paintings, monochrome porcelain, shimmering glass, furniture and English objects from the time of the Industrial Revolution. Anyone with a soft spot for art should visit Palazzo Butera.
