As the name Sylter Muschel Bistro suggests, the menu is dominated by mussels. Fresh from the Wadden Sea and straight to your table. It doesn’t get much more regional than that. What’s more, the mussels are certified organic and carry the label of the Marine Stewardship Council, which promotes sustainable fishing practices that protect the seas and fish stocks. The delicious classic is mussels in a herb and white wine broth. Served from July to April. But lobster and other seafood are also on the menu. The atmosphere is casually rustic with the flair of a French bistro. Right on the water’s edge, this is a very authentic Sylt address.
