Villa Extramuros

The Villa Extramuros is a place that one would prefer not to leave anymore. Surrounded by olive groves and the beautiful nature of Alentejo, the minimalist villa, whose architecture is inspired by medieval monasteries, shines through. All rooms are grouped around the central patio. For design lovers, this place is a paradise on earth: inside, the materials of the region such as cork, marble and raw concrete meet and in the light-flooded rooms, one design jewel stands next to the other, from Jean Prouvé to Konstantin Grcic to Joe Colombo. Nevertheless, there are always skilful stylistic inconsistencies that bring the place to life and make it feel good, like the artistically potted dishes from the region. The only question now is where to spend the day – at the pool or in the well-stocked library?
