Zesty Lemon

Stanford is one of the most beautiful and romantic restaurants on the Garden Route and is directly off the main road. At the entrance gate, there is already a colourful farm stand selling homemade chutneys, cheese and biscuits, whose charm gives you a first idea of what to expect at the end of the dirt road. The Bistro Zesty Lemon is embedded in the winery Sir Robert Stanford. You eat under a beautiful pergola overgrown with wild wine with a view of the house’s own pond, the benches are painted light blue and all in warm colours perfectly matched with a large fireplace at the end. Wherever you look, you will discover loving ideas and tasteful details. The food adapts to the country house charm. The kitchen is South African rural, mixed with Mediterranean elements. In the adjacent shop you can take some of the homemade products with you for a picnic.
