Atelier is the more down-to-earth alternative to the Bel Etage and also at home in the Teufelhof. The focus here is on a modern world cuisine based on Swiss and regional products. The focus is on craftsmanship, because everything is home-made under the direction of the second chef, Aschi Zahnd. Guests can put together their own menus from the Atelier-Menu workshop. Speciality of the house is a veal chop from the Arlesheimer butcher Jenzer. This dish is served with fried potatoes and a wild pepper jus. A classic that you don’t find very often in Basel. In summer you can also sit here in the courtyard.
