Vegan Agrivilla I Pini

Sometimes it’s the simple places that inspire you the most. The Vegan Agrivilla I Pini is situated on a hill just outside San Gimignano, surrounded by olive trees, vines and this wonderful Tuscan countryside. The owners are incredibly warm and welcoming and have created a very personal retreat here. The rooms are pleasantly simple, with old terracotta floors, beautiful vintage furniture, linen fabrics and natural materials. Everything is a little understated, and that’s precisely what makes it so lovely. In the mornings, you can join a yoga session on a wooden platform in the middle of the old olive grove, followed by breakfast featuring sourdough bread from the wood-fired oven, homemade jams and freshly squeezed juices. In the evenings, too, the cuisine is exclusively vegan, featuring vegetables and herbs from the property’s own garden. In between, you can lounge by the saltwater pool, read a book or gaze at the towers of San Gimignano. This little paradise isn’t exactly cheap, though; the prices are on the high side for such simple rooms. But it’s precisely the special atmosphere, the warm hosts and this wonderfully relaxed life amongst the olive trees that make I Pini so endearing.
